My Story
The Esther Effect was born from a deeply personal place. My journey began witnessing the devastating impact of addiction within my own life and family. Growing up, I watched my mother struggle with drug and alcohol dependency, giving me a front-row seat to the turmoil addiction brings to a family unit. I also experienced my own childhood trauma - raped in high school, feelings of rejection and control. Trauma in my adult life - domestic violence, grief and loss. I lost myself so many times that I eventually stopped counting and eventually just became unsure of who I was meant to be. I allowed people to dictate my worthiness and shame me. I allowed how others felt about me to dictate how I felt about myself. However, through it all, I have been able to witness my mother's journey to recovery, my journey to healing and self-acceptance and self love! I got to witness how building my relationship with God was essential to my path and purpose. I saw and experienced firsthand that while the path to healing is challenging, the rewards are profound. That experience planted a seed in my heart to become a vessel for change. Because we all can lose our way sometimes .
My Motivation:
-
To support women in rehab and recovery as they rediscover their lives.
-
To support women who have lost their way due to childhood trauma, heartbreak, rejection, or abandonment.
-
To remind you that even when we lose ourselves, God has not lost us.
I am here to be the exception—to break the cycle and serve as a source of support, love, and God’s work. Your purpose relies on your healing, and I am here to walk that path with you.
Through journal therapy and work readiness support, my goal is to provide a pathway for women to rebuild their faith and connection with God, reclaim their confidence and create a better future for themselves, in spite of the things they have experienced.
